In fact it's my first blog site come to think of it !...so hopefully I will manage to keep it updated with news of my work and general thoughts re what ever comes to mind.

I am a Contemporary Scottish artist who has managed to keep on working in the arts since graduating in Sculpture from Edinburgh College of Art in 1986. I live and work in the Trossachs, an area in the west of Scotland famous for lochs, hills and glens. When it's dry and sunny it's a fantastic place to work and live, especially if your a mtb mad, looking to push your old bones over some of the forest tracks that make up the Queen Elizabeth Forest.

I have just completed a series of eight sculptures which have been placed in and around Loch Ard. The project was commissioned by Scottish Enterprise and Forestry Commission Scotland and the aim is to develop a bike trail suitable for families visiting the area. It's been a mad four months of constant work to finalise the project and I have really enjoyed the process and the colaboration with the team from the Forrestry Commission who have helped over the last few months to complete this project .
